Hope Haiti

hopehaitiThe HOPE Haiti ministry has an international focus and supports Sister Ann Crawley who resides in Milot, Haiti, at Hopital Sacre Coeur. Milot is located in the northern region of Haiti. January 2016 was the 6th Anniversary of the massive earthquake that struck Haiti.
Ministering to the poor people of Haiti is something Sister Ann does daily. She runs the nutrition clinic, weighing the very malnourished preschoolers ages 2-5 years old and makes it possible for them to eat at least one meal a day. Many school-aged children are fortunate to attend school because Sister Ann has provided them with the necessary school uniforms, books and school supplies. Sister Ann started a vegetable garden on a small piece of land and grows vegetables along with the orphan children so they have some nutritious food to eat. She hikes up the step-mountain paths to visit people living up in the rural villages and distributes packets of rice and beans to needy families. Over 300 dresses sewn by the women of St. Cecilia Parish were given out by Sister Ann and made some little girls very happy!
With the proceeds from the gift card sales, we have also been able to fund a pediatric nurse’s salary at Hopital Sacre Coeur for the past 5 years. $5,000 will pay the salary of a nurse in the pediatric unit of the hospital for an ENTIRE year. Thanks for your support of our HOPE Haiti ministry! All funds collected during our 2016 HOPE Haiti fundraiser coming up in April 2016 will once again be given to Sister Ann to support all of her wonderful work in Haiti.
